This Privacy Policy describes how and when Vine collects, uses, and shares information through the Vine Kids mobile application (the "Services"). Vine Kids is intended for use by the whole family, including young children with parental participation and supervision. Vine recognizes the importance of protecting any information collected from the users of its Services, and has adopted this Privacy Policy to inform parents about the types of information Vine gathers about users of the Services, how Vine may use that information, and any disclosures Vine may make of the information.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, the term “personal information” refers to personally identifiable information through which a user can be identified as an individual. The term “non-personal information” refers to information that does not directly identify a user.
Personal Information: The only personal information we collect is information that a parent provides directly to us. For example, we collect information when a parent requests customer support or otherwise communicates with us. The types of information we may collect include your name, email address, and any other information you choose to provide. We use this information to respond to your questions or concerns. The Vine Kids mobile application does not collect or allow the submission of personal information.
Non-Personal Information: We also collect non-personal information about the mobile devices or computers used to access and interact with the Services. We use this information, including unique device identifiers and IP addresses, solely in order to support the operations of and improve the Services, to customize the Services, and to provide customer support. In addition to device and application identifiers and IP addresses, the non-personal information we collect includes mobile network information, and information about the device such as its hardware model, operating system and version.
Third-Party Services: Vine uses a variety of third-party services to help provide and improve the Services, including to help us understand the use of the Services. These third-party service providers may use cookies and other technologies to collect information about your use of the Services, including IP address, device and application identifiers, and videos viewed, but do not collect personal information.
Cross-Site/App and Location Data: The Services do not collect information about user activities over time and across third-party websites, applications, or other online services. The Services also do not collect information about users’ precise geographic location.
Your Consent: We may share or disclose information at your direction.
Service Providers: We engage service providers to perform functions and provide services to us. We may share information with such service providers solely for Vine's internal use, and on the condition that the third parties use the data only on our behalf, pursuant to our instructions, and subject to confidentiality obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Law and Harm: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Policy, we may preserve or disclose information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect Vine’s rights or property. However, nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party's, including a government's, request to disclose your information.
Business Transfers: In the event that Vine is involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. The promises in this Privacy Policy will apply to information as transferred to the new entity.
Vine does not collect personal information through the Vine Kids mobile application. As a result, we are unable to modify or delete any user’s personal information. If you have questions or concerns about any data collected through the Services, please contact us at vinekids@vine.co.
If not already done earlier, we will either delete the data we store in our server logs or remove or truncate device identifiers or IP addresses after 6 months. We may indefinitely retain aggregate data, which does not identify any individual or individual device.
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information and will always be at vine.co/privacy-kids. If we make a change to this policy that, in our sole discretion, is material, we will provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to the Vine Kids website). By continuing to access or use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
